"Artway Dream Machine"

I saw the ArtWay Dream Machine advertised in PolymerCafe. Do you know, can this only be used with the motor? If I went to a class or workshop where they didn't allow motors I'd still need my Atlas? Will the thicknesses be roughly the same as the Atlas? Any idea of a ballpark figure on the price (betwen $100 and 150 or whatever)? When, in Spring 2008, will it be available? Any other details available yet? Thanks, I'll be ordering it as soon as it's available, if I've saved enough money by then, LOL. Hugs

   Hi Sue -
I have sent Wilma an e-mail and once I get all the specifics, I'll post it to the group so you all can have the scoop first!

   OK -
This is what I heard from Ms. Wilma:
There is a hand crank that comes with it.
The motor is optional and will only fit this machine. The other pasta machine motors won't be strong enough to handle the new machine.
It is 10" wide and will have width adjusters so when you are using it, the clay won't roll all wonky.... <G>
This machine is all metal and is being built for every day production use.
Not sure on the actual ship date or price since they are still working out the manufacturing. However, once I know, you'll know!

Thanks, I'm really anxious to get one. I got the cordless extruder and used it for the first time the other day, and what a dream that was, LOL. It's big, which is a pain, but wow, to just push a button and have it extrude was great. Hugs

Here is the scoop, and you are hearing it here FIRST!!!!

They are going to have an introductory price of around $150.. and then it will go up, but it will still be less than $200! The motor will cost around $150, but it will not tip the machine and it won't be noisy, since it is industrial and won't strain....

Rob and Wilma showed me some pasta machines that are built for bakeries, and they cost around 3-6 THOUSAND!!!! and they do what the D.R.E.A.M. machine will do....
