The technique produces beautiful hollow tubes of knitted chain without using needles. It is an ancient form of weaving involving a dowel and weaving sterling silver wire around it. Then pulling it through a draw plate.

Supplies and Tools for one bracelet:
5 yards - 24 gauge Dead Soft Wire (copper, silver, or parawire (color coated copper wire))
1 yard - 20 gauge (matching) color coated copper wire
1 yard - 24 gauge scrap wire
2 bead caps ¼" diameter
lampwork and spacer beads
toggle (or wire to make hook and loop)
ruler
masking tape
Dowel 1/4 inch or 3/16 inch allen wrench (will be used as a mandrel)
drawplate - Instructor will bring to share (a piece of wood drilled with varying sizes of hole through which wire is pulled to reduced its diameter)
Round nose pliers
Square nose (chain) pliers
Wire cutters
